This week’s SPCA Pet of the Week is Buster, and he’s a young Rhodesian Ridgeback who loves to play!
He was first brought to the SPCA of Texas in January 2011 because his family was moving, and they couldn`t take him along. He was adopted by a new family, but he ended up at a different shelter a few weeks ago. They called his new family to come pick me up, but sadly, they never came to take Buster home, so the SPCA of Texas transferred him on April 21 and brought him back to our shelter. You would think after all that, he would be a little slow to warm up to people; however, he’s just about the friendliest, most loving guy here! Buster is extremely affectionate, and he loves to give you hugs and kisses. He is almost 18 months, so he is still really young and playful, but if you give him lots of toys, he will entertain himself. He also enjoys belly rubs, and he will sink down beside you to let you know he is ready for one. Buster gets along well with children and other dogs, and he is crate trained and working on housetraining. Come see him soon, and please be the loyal, forever family he is waiting for. #12232289
