Yale Alley Cats Entertain the Crowd, Mentor High School Choir at McKinney Christian Academy

Submitted by TSB Community

The Yale Alley Cats, an all-male a cappella singing group from Yale University, performed Thursday morning at McKinney Christian Academy. The Yale Alley Cats were founded in 1943 and consist of 14 members who have together released dozens of albums and have traveled around the globe upwards of twenty times. They have performed for Queens of England and Sweden, President Obama and have sung with Kristin Chenoweth.

“I found The Alley Cats once I arrived at Yale and was thrilled to secure a position in the group,” Yale Alley Cat sophomore Jeremy Zitomer said. He said his decision to attend Yale had part to do with their strong music program and opportunities. Zitomer, from Golden’s Bridge, N.Y., sings bass for The Alley Cats and is majoring in Physics and Philosophy.

After performing for our students, The Yale Alley Cats spent an hour mentoring and working with MCA’s High School Choir.
