McKinney ISD families have spoken and their choice for Outstanding Teacher is Jennifer Ingram, a first-grade teacher at Wolford Elementary School. When all the votes were tallied, teachers representing 20 of MISD’s 31 campuses were represented.
In conjunction with the MISD 2012-13 Teacher of the Year program, this year’s title sponsor, Nissan of McKinney and McKinney Buick GMC, held a contest where families cast their own ballot for Outstanding Teacher.
McKinney ISD’s annual Teacher of the Year program is in full swing as judges are evaluating portfolios and interviewing finalists at both the Elementary and Secondary school levels. All campus teachers of the year are honored at an annual dinner and receive recognition for their dedication and commitment to McKinney ISD students.
On Thursday, March 29, 2012 the McKinney ISD Teacher of the Year Dinner will be held at El Dorado Country Club. Each campus teacher of the year will be honored, and the McKinney ISD Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year will be announced. These individuals will qualify for the Regional Teacher of the Year competition held next summer.
Nissan of McKinney and McKinney Buick GMC have always supported MISD programs, sports and graduates. This is the first time the car dealerships have been title sponsor of the Teacher of the Year Program.
