As a travel agent, I often get asked “What place should everyone see in their lifetime?” so many places come to mind. Then Las Vegas pops into my mind. There is no place like it: glitz, glamour, relaxation, action, fabulous shows, gambling, delectable food, & famous sites nearby. Even the hotels have amazing attractions to check out. There is always more to see no matter how many times I go. Las Vegas continues to lure me.
When I go to Las Vegas, there is nothing like breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi restaurant at the front of the Paris hotel. I enjoy sitting on the restaurant’s patio by the sidewalk across from the fountains of the Bellagio hotel. It is such a picturesque setting. When the fountains go off, they ignite the landscape. Everyone stops on the sidewalk to gaze at the inspiring water display. The fountains have a different ambience during the day than in the evening. In the evening there is a light display too. In the morning, sitting along Las Vegas Boulevard, the setting has a relaxing feel as you watch the Bellagio fountains, street traffic, and people go by on the sidewalk. The food at Mon Ami Gabi is scrumptious too. While having a relaxing meal, the Mon Ami Gabi restaurant is a perfect place to observe the sights and sounds of Las Vegas Boulevard.
Every time I go to Las Vegas, I try to see another hotel’s attraction. For instance, the Bellagio hotel has a gorgeous Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. Beside the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, the “Fiori di Como” glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly is worth the visit. This stunning glass sculpture has 2,000 hand-blown blossoms to electrify your vision. The Buffet restaurant is fabulous at the Bellagio too. I was amazed at the size of the all you can eat buffet. I thought the price was reasonable for everything this buffet has to offer. I typically do not go to buffets because I like quality and not quantity. This restaurant has both. This buffet I would eat at again.
I enjoy staying on the Las Vega Strip. I like walking along the strip and being close to the Las Vegas Boulevard sights. I enjoy relaxing at the 3-story Chandelier bar in the Cosmopolitan hotel. It is absolutely breathtaking to see the gigantic Crystal Chandelier that encompasses the bar and lounge area. It is a beautiful sight to sit there and talk with family or friends and relax under the glitz and glamour.
The Hoover Dam is a short drive from Las Vegas and so worth the visit. The new Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge by the Hoover Dam is magnificent. What an engineering gem! The 1900-foot-long structure is the 7th highest bridge in the world. The bridge is held up by the longest arch in the Western Hemisphere soaring 890 feet above the Colorado River.
Las Vegas is a great place to fly into and begin a road trip. You can make a loop road trip to the Grand Canyon National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Zion National Park.
Depending on the time you have for a road trip, there are plenty of other sites to add to your road trip. Such as Mesa Verde National Park, Canyonlands National Park and the list of sites continue.
Where will I go to on my next visit to Las Vegas? There is just so much to see & do!
