Our friends at McKinney Convention & Visitors Bureau offer up a heapin’ helpin’ of springtime fun in McKinney this weekend.
Beatlemania 64 (Saturday): A Tribute to The Beatles is a live, multi-media spectacular that takes you on a musical journey through the life and times of the world’s most celebrated band. This live concert event takes you back to Beatlemania in its heyday in the year 1964. The cast of The Four Fabs portrays the legendary foursome delivering a note-for-note theatrical event that is the next best thing to The Beatles. 7:30 p.m. at McKinney Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $22.
Classics on the Square (Saturday): The Morning Maniacs host Classics on the Square Car Show on the downtown square the last Saturday of each month from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Check out the beautifully restored cars and trucks, enjoy some breakfast and maybe a little shopping too while you’re downtown.
Family Symphony Sunday Series (Sunday): Fun, interactive concerts for kids age 3-10 & families at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. This week’s event features Wind instruments. (Coming: April 6, Percussion; April 13, Strings.) Pre-Concert activities at 2:15 p.m.with concert at 3 p.m. Tickets are $11. For more information, call 972-473-7262.
Tractor Training Class (Saturday): Learn about starting, driving and operating historic restored trailers housed at the Collin County Farm Museum at Myers Park. Noon to 5 p.m.
