Free Band Concert (Saturday): The all-volunteer McKinney Community Band presents their Across the Seas, Across the Borders concert. No passport is required for you to join the band as they perform an arrangement of international music selections. Free admission. At Christ Fellowship Church, 2801 Orchid. 7:30 p.m.
Collin County Lawn and Garden Show (Saturday-Sunday): Collin County Master Gardeners host their annual Lawn & Garden Show at Myers Park, 7117 CR 166. Shop from area lawn and garden vendors for bedding flowers, shrubbery and native plants as well as landscaping tools and materials, and a wide range of yard art and feeders. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Night Moves 5K (Friday): Run or walk this race starting at 6:30 p.m. at 6333 Virginia (in Adriatica). The Guitar Sanctuary, The Love Life Foundation, and The Maylee Thomas Band present their first annual “Night Moves” 5K Charity Run and Concert event. Registrations accepted at the event for $45. K3 Sisters Band (Saturday): The K3 Sisters Band led by sisters Kaylen, Kelsey and Kristen have created an all-new pop-country-pop music show called RUready4K3?! which showcases their award-winning lead and harmony vocals on original and favorite songs in addition to their stunning fiddle trios and dance moves. At McKinney Performing Arts Center, 7:30 p.m.Tickets are $10-15, or free for public school teachers with ID.
Non-Profit Rug Event (All Weekend): Downtown McKinney’s Fair & Square Imports (219 E. Louisiana) offers hundreds of hand-knotted Oriental rugs in several different sizes, colors and designs! Each rug purchase supports education, adult literacy, housing and more in Pakistan. Sizes from 2’x3′ to 10’x14′ and runners.Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. with a rug preview at 6 p.m. Friday-Saturday 10 a.m.-7 pm. and Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
