Volunteer McKinney Center offers the following opportunities this week:
Disaster Action Team. When disaster strikes in Collin County, trained volunteers withthe McKinney Branch of the American Red Cross respond with immediate emergencyhelp. ARC provides, at no cost, core training for volunteers as well as additional coursesto improve the volunteers’ preparedness. If this opportunity appeals to you and you

Spanish Language Translator. The City of Plano needs a bilingual volunteer totranslate for non-English speakers who attend the First Time Homebuyer class orparticipate in neighborhood revitalization events. Learn 2 Live Green is a free, fun, family event featuring exhibits, workshops,demonstrations, entertainment, green art and children’s activities. It will take placeApril 16 at the Shops at Legacy. Volunteer opportunities include sharing green lifestyleoptions at a booth, helping with parking, assisting at the green art swap, or providingsecurity for the bike valet service. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older and mustattend an orientation so they can answer general event questions.
