The McKinney North volleyball team concluded its final day at the Lewisville ISD tournament by finishing 4th in the Gold Division. Lexey Wilson was selected to represent the Lady Bulldogs on the All-Tournament team. It was an exciting day for the girls as they took on Denton Guyer for the 2nd time this season in the quarter finals of the tournament. In the previous meeting the Bulldogs lost in 4, however, this time the McKinney North team pulled out the 5 set victory. The scores of the sets were as follows 25-21, 18-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-11.
After the hard fought and emotional match the Lady Bulldogs turned around and faced Frisco High for the second time this week. While the girls fought hard they fell short in the end 0-3. Scores for this set were 20-25, 21-25, 15-25. McKinney North finished the day playing host school Lewisville High School for 3rd place in the Gold Division. As previously mentioned, Lexey Wilson was selected as a member of the All Tournament team for her continued efforts as the starting Libero and outstanding defense for the Lady Bulldogs. Offensively, Allison Camp, Courtney Kankle, Melissa Nichols and Viona Vraniqi all carried the weight for the team. Abbey Middleton lead in assists for the Lady Bulldogs while Megan Brehm chipped in some key points as well. Kristi Carter and Allison Camp lead in aces on the weekend.
