The McKinney Boyd volleyball game scheduled for Tuesday night against Bishop Lynch was reschedule for Wednesday at McKinney Boyd. The varsity game will start at 6:30 p.m. with the JV game starting at 5:30 p.m.
McKinney High School and McKinney North were in action Tuesday night, however, and both squads were victorious.
The Lionettes defeated Frisco Wakeland in three sets at MHS, while North defeated Newman Smith in five sets.
North was led offensively by Courtney Kankel with 26 kills. Melissa Nichols continued to be a strong presence and displayed great senior leadership by contributing six kills, one solo block and served out the set/match victory with five service aces.
Defensive leaders for the Lady Bulldogs were Darby Maclea with a personal best of 28 digs. Ali Michalak, Kristi Carter and Mary Valdez all contributed significant digs at key moments for the victory tonight for the bulldogs.
North will play again on Thursday at the Frisco ISD tournament as they face Rockwall to start their pool play.
