MISD volleyball results from Tuesday night’s matches …
McKinney North varsity and junior varsity volleyball lost to Royse City while the freshman teams swept their opponents. The Varsity team had a 23-19 lead in the first set and lost 24-26. The Lady Bulldogs returned in set 2 and with a slow start, but were able to fight hard at the end of the set but fell short 23-25. Too many unforced errors cost the Bulldogs in the final set.
Scores for the night were 24-26, 23-25, 11-25. Allison Camp lead the team in kills with 14 while Courtney Kankle remained steady with 5 kills, 1 block and 3 aces. Lexey Wilson still remains the best defender for the Lady Bulldogs with 13 on the match and Abbey Middleton continued to lead in assist for the program with 15.
With the loss tonight it puts the Lady Bulldogs at 9-17 overall and 0-2 in district. McKinney North with return to district play on Friday as they travel to Wylie East with the varsity team taking the court at 5:30 p.m.
The Lionettes’ six-match win streak ended Tuesday night on the road at Coppell. MHS fell 13-25, 13-25, 16-25. MHS travels to Ranchview on Friday night for a 5:30 p.m. match.
A quick win over Flower Mound Marcus on Tuesday improved the Lady Broncs’ record to 22-5. McKinney Boyd beat the Mauraders 25-22, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, at the Lady Broncs’ home gym. Boyd plays host to Hebron at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
