Lady Bulldogs and Lady Broncos roll, while Lionettes fall to old rival Plano.
McKinney North hosted Greenville on Tuesday night and earned a hard fought five game victory to improve to 4-4 in District 13-4A. The scores of the match were 25-11, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, and 15-12. The Lady Bulldogs were led by senior Allison Camp with 16 kills and Kali Viles with 12, while Courtney Kankel and Melissa Nichols each added 11 kills as well. Lindsey Denne continued to lead the team in assists with a career high of 51. Lexey Wilson had a career high 35 digs, while the team had 10 aces and a season high 66 kills.
The Lady Bulldogs will host Royse City on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
The Lady Broncos defeated Plano East 3-0 on the road to improve their District 10-5A record to 3-1. The scores of the match were 25-12, 25-21, and 25-14. Parker Sheperd led the team with three aces, while Megan Mollett finished with a team-high 17 kills. Krista Bukovec added eight kills of her own, while Kelly Koop finished the match with seven kills.
Boyd will host MHS on Friday night in the first of two district meetings between the crosstown rivals. Game time is 6 p.m.
The Lionettes were defeated at home by Allen 3-0 to fall to 0-4 in District 10-5A. The scores of the match were 21-25, 20-25, and 19-25.
MHS will travel across town to battle Boyd on Friday night. Game time is 6 p.m.
