The McKinney Boyd Lady Broncs are one win away from the Final Four.
Boyd defeated Georgetown in the Class 5A Region II volleyball semifinals on Friday in Huntsville, rallying from a 26-24 loss in the first set to win the last three 25-16, 25-22, 25-18.
As a result, the Lady Broncs (43-6), having a masterful season, will play Austin Westlake at noon Saturday in the regional final. At stake is a berth in the Final Four. Westlake knocked off Lake Highlands 25-16, 25-19, 25-14, in the other regional semifinal Friday.
Leading Boyd was Megan Mollett with 28 kills and 10 digs. Drew Darling had 13 kills and 17 digs. Brittany Phelan had 25 assists, while Brantlee Reid added 23 assists.
The regional event is taking place at Sam Houston State.
