Lake Highlands played a double-header at the state’s fifth-ranked 5A volleyball team, McKinney Boyd, Tuesday night and the Lady Broncs’ made sure the Lady Wildcats got to face their second opponent of the evening, Rowlett, as soon as possible. In their first home game in three weeks, the Lady Broncos made quick work of Lake Highlands in a dominating clean sweep, 25-13, 25-15, 25-23.

“She’s a great player,” Quinn said. “Right now, we’ve moved her to the outside because she can get more swings that way. I’m really impressed with her passing and defense too.”
Senior Drew Darling also had a standout night adding to the offense with nine kills and led the team with nine defensive digs and two service aces.
Senior Maddie Burleson and junior Mackenzie Wells, Krista Bukovec and Emma Meyer all added to the offense combining for 17 kills.
