Two playhouses offered by NCC Habitat for Humanity

Playhouse spring 2014 web

Two playhouses, a log cabin and haunted house, will be given to lucky winners this year by North Collin County Habitat for Humanity.

The log cabin, decorated by McKinney artist Jeni Tomlinson, will be awarded at the annual ReStore Spring Bling Saturday, March 22.  The ticket will be drawn at 5 p.m. in the store. This house has an actual tin roof, front porch and painted fireplace and welcome mat.

It will be on display at the Collin County Home and Garden Show at the Allen Event Center February 7 to 9 at the main entrance, where tickets will be sold.  Following the show, the house will be in the ReStore until the drawing.  The winner need not be present and will be notified.  Tickets are available at the registers.

A spooky haunted house will be given away at the ReStore Monster Mash/Birthday Bash October 18. The house will be on display in the store and will be at the September Collin County Home and Garden Show.

Tickets for the houses are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available in the ReStore and in the office as well as at Habitat dedications and wall-raising events.

Proceeds benefit the mission of NCC Habitat, which is to gather people to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live.  The ReStore and offices are located at 2060 Couch Dr., McKinney.  The store is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm, 972-548-9112.  Free pick up for donated items may be scheduled by appointment at extension 128.  Tax receipts will be given.
