Tucker Hill Hosts Electronics Recycling Event

Submitted by Tucker Hill

This Saturday, Feb. 23, Tucker Hill will host an electronics recycling event from 9 a.m. until noon. Residents and the general public are invited to bring in old computers, monitors, televisions, printers, cell phones, cables, wires, etc. to be recycled by e-Recycler.

E-Recycler is a local recycling company that offers on-site, certified physical destruction of hard drives, floppy disks, CDs, and tapes. Shredders will insure your information is safe and completely unrecoverable. Small lots of drives can be destroyed while you wait in most cases.

There is a small charge of 15 cents per pound on all recycled products and a disposal fee of $5 per monitor and/or $10 per television.

“This is a great way to clean out your closets and garage and know that your electronic waste will not only stay out of landfills, but any personal data will be safely discarded,” said Vicki Northcutt, Tucker Hill’s Marketing Manager.

Please bring your items to the Tucker Hill/Southern Land Company Development Office located at 7216 Percy Drive, McKinney, 75071. For more information, please visit our website information page —
