A local business packed up and went away after residents rallied against them.
The protests against Puppies Direct were heartfelt and fierce. They were upset about allegations of puppy mills that produced the “merchandise” for this business.
And part of their message was that the Collin County Animal Shelter is in code red and needs adoptive families for its animals. “We want to make people aware of the fact that the shelters are full,” says Lisa Clark. “There’s lots of dogs that will be dead by tomorrow if someone doesn’t adopt.”
Shortly after the group’s protest, Puppies Direct was no longer in their storefront and their website/facebook page mysteriously disappeared.
