Advent Activity Day 8: Start a New Family Tradition
The word Tradition is defined as a “handing-down” of a set of beliefs, a practice, or a custom from one generation to the next. Traditions come in all shapes and sizes, from the daily rituals that order our lives to the sacred beliefs that nurture our hearts. Why not this year, start a new one? It doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive. It could be as simple as sharing a meal and family stories, or setting aside a special time to engage in a fun activity unique to you and your loved ones. Whatever it is, traditions have to start somewhere. Why not with you?
This Week’s Buzz Word: Peace
“What an enormous magnifier is tradition! How a thing grows in the human memory and in the human imagination, when love, worship, and all that lies in the human heart, is there to encourage it.” – Thomas Carlyle
