Advent Activity Day 20: Read Kyra’s Kitchen: Hanukkah – A Little History, A Little Nosh
Today marks the first day of Hanukkah, the eight day Jewish holiday, also known as the Festival of Lights. For the next eight nights, the Festival will be observed with the lighting of candles in a special candleladrum called a Menorah. The celebration also includes the preparation and the enjoyment of yummy foods fried or baked in oil.
