Thousands Turn Out for McKinney’s Relay for Life

Despite the threat of storms, thousands turned out for McKinney’s “Relay for Life” event occurred at the Ball Parks at Craig Ranch on Friday evening, April 26.  McKinney residents honored cancer survivors and particpated in a walking event around the Gabe Nesbitt Ball Park to help raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society.

Several elected officials partipated in the event, including, State Representative Scott Sanford and his wife Shelly, who are from McKinney, and with McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller. (pictured left). Mayor Loughmiller gave the opening address at the event.
