The Rumors Were True, Disney is Coming to Texas!

By CRUISIN

Disney Comes to TX!It’s been a long time coming but Disney is finally bringing their brand to Texas. No, it’s not the theme park that has been rumored for years to be coming to North Texas; it’s a cruise ship coming to South Texas. Beginning this Saturday, September 22 the Disney Magic will start sailing from the Port of Galveston.

Those of you familiar with cruising out of Galveston may be saying – “Wait, the ‘Magic’ has already been sailing out of Galveston for a year now!”  This is true but the ship you would be referring to is the Carnival Magic which started sailing out of Galveston last November. The newest addition coming to the Port of Galveston this week is Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic. Confusing? Yes, a little. Once you hear the ship’s horns blast the tune of “When You Wish Upon A Star” you will have a good idea which ‘Magic’ it is even before it comes into sight. Then, as you turn towards the music your eyes will gaze upon a sleek black and white ship topped by two red funnels adorned with Mickey Mouse ears. At that point there will be no question and you better be ready to enjoy a tropical vacation with all the entertainment, characters, and magic that only Disney can deliver.

Disney is not just an exceptional choice for family cruising; it prides itself in offering a great cruising experience for all. Disney’s spacious ships have diverse options for dining, entertainment, nightlife and activities throughout. They strive to live up to everyone’s expectations and offer a great experience for families, couples and single adults alike.
