The Amazing Acro-Cats Coming to MPAC

McKinney Performing Arts Center welcomes The Amazing Acro-Cats, one of four performing house-cat troupes in the US, for a special performance on Sunday, September 11 at 3:00 pm.

The purr-forming purr-sonalities have fun as they demonstrate astounding feats of agility synonymous with their species.  They perform tricks with various hoops, tumblers, skateboards, hoisting flags, reading signs, even rolling balls over parallel ropes!

The Acro-Cats featuring the Rock Cats all-cat band have inspired, thrilled and mystified audiences of all ages coast to coast.  Under the careful direction of master trainer Samantha Martin, the performance offers a unique blend of spectacle, entertainment, education and public awareness.  As a pioneering feline behavioral expert, Martin has devoted her life to animal welfare and public education helping people better understand their animal counterparts.  Martin has a genuine dedication to animals, providing financial contribution, promotion and rescue/rehabilitation/adoption assistance for animal welfare groups wherever she performs.

The Acro-Cats have made numerous television appearances, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well as features in National Geographic and the Chicago Tribune.  Martin frequently supplies her talents for handling animals to work with advertising campaigns for Wal-Mart, PetCo and PetSmart.

The Amazing Acro-Cats is a family-friendly show unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.  Tickets for The Amazing Acro-Cats are $9.50 to $13.50 for general admission and are available through MPAC Emerson Ticket Office at 214-544-4630 or on-line at
