TownSquareBuzz staffers share their favorite Thanksgiving memories with readers as we countdown the days to Thanksgiving. Matt Bado, Director of Marketing, has this to say:
I’ve been blessed to have so many memorable Thanksgivings that it’s hard to pick just one. A top favorite, however, is when my family went with a couple of other families to Six Flags Over Texas. I think I was in high school at the time. The theme park was all decked out for its annual Holiday in the Park event, complete with sled riding, peppermint stick candy canes and hot cocoa. It felt like we were the only ones crazy enough to spend the chilly evening gallivanting from ride to ride. There were no lines! I think I road the Shock Wave and the Texas Giant at least five times in a row. I’m sure my face was numb.
I’m not sure if Six Flags still stays open on Thanksgiving Day but it was one experience I will never forget!
