Submitted by Texas Democratic Women of Collin County

Texas Democratic Women of Collin County And Host Committee, Cynthia I. Fitzgerald, Jack and Ashley Ternan, Bickel & Brewer, and Anonymous Donors, Invite you to join us for our 6th Annual Fundraiser.

It will be held Sunday, October 21 at 5 p.m., at Fairview Farms Corral Party Barn, 3314 N. Central Expressway (at Parker Road), Plano, TX.

TDWCC is delighted to offer attendees at our annual dinner the opportunity to have caricatures done on the spot for $20 each beginning at 5:00 pm. Guests will leave with a whimsical representation of themselves as individuals or couples. Feel free to bring photos of children, grandchildren or even pets to be reproduced in Ben’s or Dorit’s unique style! Here’s a bit of information about the two artists who’ll be drawing us:

Caricature Artist: Benjamin Vincent (http://benvincent.com)

A story-teller by nature, Ben Vincent was drawn to illustration as a way of telling stories through a visual medium. He began his career as a caricature artist at the age of 17 working one summer at Six Flags Over Texas. He subsequently traveled through Europe for six months, spending two months sketching at the Louvre in Paris. Upon returning to the United States he spent a summer drawing caricatures along the River Walk in San Antonio. He then entered college and received a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He currently illustrates for magazines and advertising agencies, does vision drawings for corporations, paints murals and portraits, is a well-known caricature artist, and enjoys illustrating children’s books as well as books for teens and young adults.

Caricature Artist: Dorit Rabinovitch (http://doritart.com)

As a freelance commercial illustrator, Dorit’s specialty is people. From infants to the mature, she does both serious portraits and lighthearted caricatures and has been working in the Dallas area since 1990. Today her work is mostly digital for advertising agencies and design firms, using Corel Painter and PowerPoint in a traditional oils style. Focusing on a subject’s position, emotion, skin tone and unique features, Dorit conveys a sense of the person without the use of software.
