Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC on Wednesday announced its endorsement of State Rep. Ken Paxton (R-McKinney) in Senate District 8. In making the endorsement, TLR PAC Chairman Richard J. Trabulsi, Jr., said:
“Rep. Paxton is a strong conservative who understands the importance of lawsuit reform in creating jobs, strengthening the Texas economy and assuring access to doctors and health care throughout the state. His legal practice in representing businesses gives him an understanding of how tort reform has enhanced economic growth in Texas. Rep. Paxton has been an advocate for a fair and balanced civil justice system in the Texas House and we expect him to be one in the Texas Senate.”
Rep. Paxton was first elected to the Texas House in 2003, representing part of Collin County. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Baylor University and his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School. Senate District 8 includes Collin and Dallas Counties.
TLR PAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform, the state’s largest civil justice reform organization.
