Wendy Shelley has a job. It may not be a job with a salary but there is no question it is a job.
Wendy Shelley is a self-proclaimed “Community Volunteer.”
You might see Wendy running a meeting for the McKinney Ladies Association, participating on the Heard Museum Advisory Committee or working on the SMILES charity event. She can often be found attending McKinney ISD Board of Trustee meetings and in the gallery during regular meetings of the McKinney City Council. Wendy even leads the charge in creating public awareness of the McKinney Boyd Bailadoras and their many accomplishments over the past couple of years.
Did I mention Wendy ran the re-election campaign for McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller? The incumbent mustered 90 percent of the vote so Wendy must be pretty good. (Please note the Mayor ran “virtually” unopposed!)
Listen in as Wendy tells all when it comes to politics, her passion for fast cars, and what would happen if you took her community volunteering away.
