Stuart J’s Lens: Roger Richardson’s Taste for Collecting Leads to Relic Warehouse

When Roger Richardson started out in business he spent several years working at Cutter Bill’s in Dallas. There he learned not only about retail but got to hobnob with celebrities from Cher to Bono.

Almost 30 years later Richardson took the taste for collecting he inherited from his parents, found a business partner in Aaron Gibson, and opened a new retail location in McKinney where they sell “old” things.

Relic Warehouse is located at 351 E. Louisiana Street and is celebrating its grand opening on Saturday August 17.  Here you may find that antique, vintage, collectable or unusual item just waiting to come home with you.

“People like bragging rights to have something in their house if it’s unique,” said Richardson. “Its like, well you’re not gonna have one of these!”

Stuart J’s Lens provides the opportunity to get to know some of the more interesting people and personalities in and around McKinney. If you think you have a story to tell, or know someone that does, send me an email at spearlman@townsquarebuzz.com and tell me all about it.
