Stuart J’s Lens: Josh Willis’ Trips to Africa Enriched His Life … and Might Have Saved It, Too

By Stuart J. Pearlman, TSB Staff

Josh Willis has a lot to be thankful for. He and wife Courtney live in McKinney with their two beautiful children; he also works two jobs, as a firefighter/paramedic in Little Elm and in a pediatrician’s office.

Well, actually Josh has a third job. He is founder and executive director of a 501C3 nonprofit organization called Mission Regan.

Most of his life Josh battled with alcoholism. It was through this battle that he discovered the important work done by church medical mission trips to Uganda. That experience alone did not save him from his demons, but it did induce a calling to focus his energies on helping children in developing countries.

Listen in as Josh describes his path to overcome addiction, his efforts to save his marriage and the circumstances by which he met a little boy named Regan who changed his life forever.

If you would like to learn more about Mission Regan and the great work Josh is doing, go to their website or send Josh an email.

Stuart J’s Lens provides the opportunity to get to know some of the more interesting people and personalities in and around McKinney. If you think you have a story to tell, or know someone that does, send me an email at spearlman@townsquarebuzz.com and tell me all about it.
