Meeting Charlie Malolo was a new experience for Stuart J’s Lens. Not only is he the first Polynesian from Idaho we ever met but also the first to write a song about death and perform during our interview.
Malolo is a McKinney attorney who specializes in real estate, tax and wills. On the way to his legal career Malolo spent two years in the Philippines on a mission trip for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He then completed studies in his foremost passion, music. Only then did he turn to the practice of law.
At the end of the day however, Malolo’s love for music trumps all.
“Law stuff doesn’t have to be so serious all the time,” he said. “I actually wrote a song about wills and if you want I can give you the world premiere of it.”
And then he did! “That’s what my $40K music education got me,” he said afterward.
Give Malolo a call and he will be happy to draw up a will for you. His business card says, Get ‘em while you’re livin’, so you might expect a different kind of experience dealing with a typically somber topic. Plus, if you ask nicely I bet Charlie would even sing you a song!
