Strong Showing for Lions Cross Country in Opener at Frisco Invitational

The McKinney High Lions boys cross country team opened the 2011 season at the Frisco Invitational on Saturday.

The Lions ran 20 kids total over a hilly 3.1 mile course. Strong showings by Spencer Banks and Cole Murray in the JV. Spencer returning to competition for the Lions for his senior year and Cole Murray after battling through a few injuries during his freshman year help the JV to a 3rd place finish.

On the Varsity side, Jacob Judd, Robert Wood, Matt Fontillas, Ethan Klippert-Rowe, Cole White, Sam Anich and Tyson Bouck paced the Lions to a 6th place finish over the weekend. Tons of great efforts by all kids competing.
