Scott Sanford, the newly elected State Representative for Texas House District 70, today announced his endorsement of Jeff Leach in the upcoming runoff election for House District 67 on July 31st. This endorsement adds to the growing list of Collin County leaders who are rallying behind Jeff Leach’s campaign for the Texas House, including State Representative Jerry Madden, State Representative Ken Paxton and State Representative Jodie Laubenberg, as well as House District 67 Candidates Roger Burns and John Pitchford, among many other community leaders and elected officials.
Scott Sanford stated, “I am proud to endorse Jeff Leach for the Texas House of Representatives in District 67. I can say with confidence that Jeff possesses the character, integrity, vision and values District 67 needs and deserves in its next State Representative. Simply put, Jeff is the clear choice for conservative voters in the run-off election on July 31st.”
Sanford continued, “As the newly-elected State Representative for District 70, I look forward to working with Jeff in the Texas House as together we represent and advocate for Collin County.”
In response, Jeff Leach said, “I am thankful to have Scott Sanford’s endorsement and support and appreciate his engagement with our campaign for the Texas House. I am excited about the opportunity to work with Scott and other conservative leaders from our community to ensure that Collin County remains one of the best places in Texas to call home.”
Scott Sanford is a life-long Texan, and a Baylor Bear for about half of that time. He earned BBA and MTax degrees, and maintains a CPA license in the State of Texas. His career path includes positions at Ernst & Young, and ownership in two franchise endeavors. Scott and his wife Shelly live in McKinney with their two children Ryan and Lauren. Scott currently serves as Executor Pastor of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, Texas, in the heart of District 67.
Running for Texas House of Representative in District 67, Jeff Leach was raised in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High School. He is a graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law and currently practices with the law firm of Griffith Nixon Davison, P.C. He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University. Jeff and his wife Becky are active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. They live in Plano with their two children Brady, age 4, and Charlotte, age 1.
In addition to numerous community leaders across North Texas, Leach has previously earned endorsements from statewide organizations including Texans For Fiscal Responsibility, Young Conservatives of Texas, Texas Right to Life, Conservative Republicans of Texas and the Collin County Conservative Republicans, among others.
