The Murderous Mansion of Mr. Uno: MRT’s Young Actors Guild
Mr. Uno, the mysterious host, invited six eccentric guests to his dark and stormy mansion. When Uno winds up dead (several times over), and guests begin dying mysteriously, those remaining must uncover the murderer before it’s too late. A wickedly funny parody of the traditional murder mystery, with eleven possible alternate endings voted on by the audience. Just in time for Halloween!

Alfred Hitchcock Presents The Lodger
Alfred Hitchcock’s first horror film, The Lodger – A Story Of The London Fog, debuted February 14, 1927.
The film is about a serial killer known as “The Avenger” who is on the loose in London, murdering blonde women. A mysterious man arrives at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Bunting looking for a room to rent. The Bunting’s daughter is a blonde model and is seeing one of the detectives assigned to the case. The detective becomes jealous of the lodger and begins to suspect he may be the avenger. Is this man “The Avenger”? Come and see the film to find out – you’ll be sorry if you miss any part of this thrilling story. Musical Score by Dr. Steven Ball.

This low-budget cult classic concerns the misadventures of Brad Majors (Barry Bostwick) and Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon) inside a strange mansion that they come across on a rainy night. After the wholesome pair profess their love through an opening song, their car breaks down in the woods, and they seek refuge in a towering castle nearby and the rest of the evening holds many twists and turns for the young couple.

Pumpkins, Ghosts, and Candy…Oh My! Main Street and the Shops in Downtown To Offer a Howling Good Time on Halloween!
The Shops in Downtown McKinney and McKinney Main Street invites you to come out Halloween evening from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. and enjoy the sights of hundreds of ghosts and goblins young and old in Historic Downtown McKinney. This annual event has grown to hundreds of trick or treaters enjoying treats and interactive activities to celebrate a safe, secure family fun Halloween event.
New this year is downtown McKinney’s very own Pumpkin Patch, located on the grounds of MPAC, along with hidden cut-out ghosts waiting to found throughout Historic Downtown McKinney…24 to be exact and this is sure to be a fun family-friendly ghost hunt for the entire family. BOO!
Historic Downtown McKinney is closed off for trick or treaters to cross the streets safely, going shop to shop for goodies. Along with gathering goodies during the safe and fun trick-or-treating event, participants can enjoy FUN interactive activities FOR KIDS of all ages. Admission is free and parking can be found throughout the historic downtown area.
Don’t miss the McTown Clowns who will be on site at the event, followed by hosting an encore performance of “Safety Shopping Network” inside the courtroom theater at the McKinney Performing Art Center.
Back by popular demand this year is the “Be Green on Halloween” costume contest. The city’s Office of Environmental Stewardship (OES) encourages residents to make their own costume by using items that are already in your house. To enter the contest, just stop by the OES table on Halloween during Scare on the Square to sign up. Prizes will be awarded to winners.
McKinney Main Street also partners with 3E to host a food drive to benefit the Food Pantry. Residents are encouraged to drop off canned food during the event.
