Special Olympics Track and Field Meet Set for Ron Poe Stadium

McKinney Independent School District will be hosting its 9th Annual Special Olympics Track and Field Meet on Friday, April 4 at Ron Poe Stadium.

This event will include over 260 athletes with special needs from McKinney and over 350 athletes with special needs from the surrounding Collin and Grayson County areas: Frisco, Bells, Princeton, Sherman, Denison, Allen, Anna, Van Alstyne, Community, Commerce, Pottsboro, Wylie, and Gunter.

MISD is expecting a crowd of more than 3,000 people, the largest local Special Olympics track meet in the state of Texas. The event will start around 9:30 a.m. and end around 2 p.m.
