Meet Rusty, a 10-year-old male Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. He arrived at the SPCA of Texas on June 20 because his previous owner was moving to an apartment. It was heartbreaking, as he had stayed with my previous owner for eight years, but now that you’re reading this, he may have a chance to be happy with a family again. Hopefully it’s with yours! He weighs 13 pounds which makes it easier for you to hold and cuddle with him. One of the many things people love about Rusty is his gorgeous and fleecy fur. You will love running your hand through his soft, tan and soothing fur coat. His previous owner mentioned that he is a good lap dog. He’s calm and he never pulls on the leash when going out for walks, which can help you enjoy the day and his company! He is a gentle and quiet dog, but I’m not shy. He loves meeting people of all ages and gets along with everyone, including kids. He’s so calm that a cucumber can’t even match his coolness! Believe it or not, he remains relaxed even at the vet’s. Dogs love him because he’s friendly around them and he doesn’t fight with them. He’s never been close friends with kitties, but in his previous home he never fought with any of them. Rusty’s previous owner noted that he was completely house trained, but after being in the shelter he might need some time to remember all of his house training rules. He has been neutered, microchipped, had a dental cleaning and has received all of his age-appropriate vaccinations. He has also been dewormed and received flea/tick preventatives. What more could you ask for? Have a great day, and don’t forget to visit Rusty! #141704
Meet Queenie, a regal 11-year-old Domestic Shorthair mix lady wearing a soft tuxedo fur coat of black and white. She has been made a VIP, so her adoption fee has been waived through the month of July! Her eyes are yellow and she has cute white markings above her mouth! When you pet her, she’ll sing a lovely purr song! She has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received all of her age-appropriate vaccinations. When her previous family moved, she wasn’t sure where her litter box was and she had a few accidents, but she has not had any problems at all since being at the shelter. She has a sweet personality and nature! Queenie is mellow and will enjoy being the queen in your home as well as your best friend. Anyone would be lucky to be best friends with royalty! What are you waiting for? This special lady will be waiting for your visit. Come meet her highness today! #103118
