Meet Pete, a 1-year-old, 47 pound, red and white Blue Heeler mix. He came to the SPCA of Texas on October 19 when he was transferred in from another shelter, in hopes that he’d have a better chance of finding his forever home. As you can see, he’s quite the looker. Who wouldn’t want a handsome guy like himself to be by their side? He really enjoys going for walks. He is very inquisitive and enjoys exploring outside. Volunteers have reported that he is easy to leash up. Also, he really likes playing a good game of fetch. But, he’s perfectly happy receiving affection and just getting petted and loved on. While he loves everyone he meets, he’ll probably do best in a home without small children. If you have any dogs at home, the SPCA of Texas encourages you to bring them by for a “meet and greet” with him. You can go into a play yard and get to know each other. Pete has been neutered, microchipped and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. So what are you waiting for? Come meet this handsome guy today! #143564
Meet Misty, a darling, 6-year-old, Domestic Mediumhair mix girl. Her fur coat is orange with white, and she has a cute pink nose. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on August 8 because her human could not take care of her anymore. Her personality is quiet and she can be a bit shy, but she’s very friendly once she gets to know you. She loves to be petted, especially around her face and neck. Misty has a gentle spirit and enjoys tender, loving care. Her favorite way to play is watching the moving feather-wand and sometimes batting at it. She will do best in a quiet home without dogs, because sometimes she gets startled with lots of activity. Misty has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. Sweet as can be describes her perfectly! Please come and meet her today, and you can get to know each other! You won’t want to go home without her! #142372
