Meet Penny, a friendly, 2-year-old, black and white Pit Bull mix weighing 43 pounds. She came to the SPCA of Texas on May 19 because her previous owner did not have adequate space to accommodate her. She loves to go for walks, and she is working on learning how to walk politely on a loose leash. She also loves treats, and has been working with staff and volunteers to learn cool new tricks. She’s a natural! As much as she likes working on training, Penny also really enjoys having some laid-back fun and playing with toys (stuffed and squeaky toys are her favorite!) Once playtime is over, she loves to share a nice session of petting and love. She lived with children ages 6-10 years in her previous home, but sometimes got a little too excited and played too rough, so she should be monitored when spending time around smaller children. Penny has made some canine friends at the shelter, but she can be particular about who she likes to spend her time with, so she would like to meet any other dogs in the home before joining the family. She has been spayed, microchipped and has received her age-appropriate vaccinations. She has also been dewormed and has received Flea/Tick preventatives. Please come and visit her! She could become your next best friend! #141156
Meet Enya, a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair mix. Her fur coat is tortoiseshell-colored and soft to the touch! She came to the SPCA of Texas on April 11 because her previous owner had too many animals. She enjoys spending time with the other kitties in her condo, but Chicken is her best buddy. They can often be found snuggling together for afternoon naps and grooming each other. Enya would love for Chicken to come home with her since they make such a great pair. When she first meets you, she may be a bit shy, but she warms up quickly (especially if you have treats!) Her favorite hobby is playing with the rolling, jingle toys. She really loves when you toss the toy around so she can chase and pounce on it! Once she’s gotten to know you, she is happy to receive gentle petting and scratching from you. She can be quite the love bug! Enya has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. She is a loving young lady and would adore being your BFFF-Best Furry Friend Forever! Visit her today! #140114
