SPCA Pets of the Week: Meet Lucy and Noe

Meet Lucy, an inquisitive, 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair mix. She is a brown tabby, which means her fur coat has lovely dark and light brown stripes. She has beautiful, bright green eyes. She’s cute as a button! Lucy was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas onApril 20 because the previous owner’s grandchildren were allergic to her. She’ll miss them, but she’s sure she will find a loving family to go home with! Could that be with you? She is talkative and loves, loves, loves petting! Lucy is friendly, gentle, calm and playful with adults, children and other cats. Sometimes, she likes to smell you when she greets you! She’s never been around dogs, so she would do best taking it slow with introductions if you have a pup at home. She has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received her age-appropriate vaccinations. Her three favorite fun things to do are play chase and pounce, play with things that crackle and play hide and seek. You two can have a lot of fun together! Lucy is a VIP cat because she has been waiting for a home for over 30 days, so her adoption fee has been waived through the month of July! What are you waiting for? Stop by to visit today! She’d love to show off! #140309

NoeMeet Noe, a friendly 6-month-old, 41 pound, mostly-black Labrador/Shepherd mix. He was transferred from another shelter to the SPCA of Texas on May 11 to have a better chance at finding a new home. Could that be with you? His mostly-black soft coat with tan paws and markings on his face make him irresistible. He has adorable little tan “eyebrows” that help him make all kinds of fun expressions and you’re even able to see his feet in the dark! How cool is that? He loves to go for walks and he is easy to walk. He also loves treats and will sit on command, especially if you have treats! He can be very energetic, and sometimes jumps in a “puppy” way to try and give you hugs. With some patience and kindness, he can learn good manners in no time! He would love to help you stay in shape by joining you for jogs through the park. After all that exercise, he can join you for some much needed rest and cuddling. What more could you ask for? He has been neutered, microchipped, and received his age-appropriate vaccinations. He has also been dewormed and has received Flea/Tick preventatives. Please come and visit him! You won’t be disappointed!  #140987
