Meet King, a friendly, 49 pound, 6-month-old black Labrador/Australian Cattledog mix. The previous owner noted that he is ok with children. He loves walks and he is easy to walk. He does like to sniff and explore exciting smells when he walks! He will also sit on command, especially if he thinks you have treats. Just for the record, he loves to be petted and adores humans! The previous owner indicated that he has been housebroken. After living in the shelter, it may take him a couple of weeks to remember all of the housetraining in his new adoptive home. With patience and positive reinforcement, he can adjust well to new housetraining rules. King was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on May 5 because the previous owner was moving. He has been neutered, microchipped, and has received his age-appropriate vaccinations. He has been dewormed and has received Flea/Tick preventatives. Please come and visit King. You will be glad that you did! #138465
Meet Chicken! That name fits perfectly! She likes your attention, but a lot of the time you’ll find her hiding behind her cat friends. Her breed is Domestic Shorthair mix and she’s a cute torbie. Her colors are tortoiseshell with tabby markings. She is 2-years old and weighs a shapely 11 pounds. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on April 10 because her owner had too many animals. Now she’s here with some friends and she’s looking for her furr-ever home! Chicken has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. When you stay with her for a while, she becomes less shy but she’ll need patience when she first comes home with you. She doesn’t have a favorite toy yet, but perhaps you can pick one out together! Chicken is a quiet, sweet young girl and will be your best friend when you take her home today! #140118
