Meet Elijah, a 5-year-old, 59 pound white and tan Shepherd mix. As you can see, he’s very handsome. He was transferred to the SPCA of Texas from another shelter on May 19 in hopes that he’d have a better chance of finding his forever home. He’s a friendly fellow with a heart of gold, and he’d love to share it with you! While at the shelter, he’s been working on his loose leash walking skills, and he’s doing great! He is easy to get along with, too, and loves people. You will love petting him – his fur is so soft and beautiful. He has the most soulful brown eyes and his face just says “I’m happy!” Do you have any pets at home? If so, the SPCA of Texas encourages you to bring them to the shelter for a meet and greet. That way, they can see how they all get along together. But seeing as how he has such a great disposition, there shouldn’t be any problems. He is heartworm positive, but the good news is that his treatment is paid for by generous donors! While the medicine works its magic, he’ll need a quiet place to rest and relax – kind of like being at a day spa! Elijah has been neutered, microchipped and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. He can’t wait to find a home to call his very own, and hopefully it’s with you! #141173
Meet Star, a very sweet 14-month-old, 10 pound bundle of joy. She loves being with other cats and people. Her breed is Domestic Shorthair Mix and her fur coat is brown tabby! She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on April 30 because her previous owner had too many animals. She’s very friendly and will come over to greet you when you come to see her. She enjoys sitting at the top of the cat tree and looking out the Condo windows! She has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. Since she is a young girl, she’d love to have fun playtimes, lots of cuddles and yummy food! She’ll return all your love with a sweet purr song. She’ll be looking out the windows to see you when you come by today! Just ask for Star! #140805
