SPCA Pets of the Week: Meet Chico and Vicky

Warning – Cutie Pie alert! Meet Chico, a 4-year-old, 12 pound Chihuahua mix who would love to go home with you. He’s come a long way from his first days here at the SPCA of Texas. You may have seen him on TV recently (no autographs please – he’s trying not to let the limelight go to his head!) Chico was transferred to the SPCA of Texas on October 5 from another shelter and he’s learned so much!  Now, he’s all ready to go home and be someone’s best buddy. Chico has been neutered, microchipped and is current on his age-appropriate vaccinations. He is heartworm positive, but thanks to generous donors, his treatments are FREE to his new family at any Metoplex-area VCA Animal Hospital after he’s adopted! He is an affectionate, funny little guy who will keep you endlessly amused. He loves walking on a leash and quiets down when you get him out of here! Come meet this little guy today! #143404

Meet Vicky, a sweet, 8-year-old, Domestic Shorthair mix wearing a unique tortoiseshell fur coat. She weighs 14 shapely pounds. Her family surrendered me to the SPCA of Texas on August 20 because they developed an allergy to her. That’s ok; she knows the perfect family is waiting to take her home. Her dream is to find a comfy home to live in for her retirement years. Could that be with you? She has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped, had a dental cleaning and received all of her age-appropriate vaccinations. She has the total package! She is a quiet, reserved cat, but loves when you pet her and speak to her softly… your reward will be a lovely purr song. Her hobbies are watching the feather wand as it waves by, batting at a little crinkle toy and people-watching! Vicky will be a wonderful friend and companion for you! Meet her today! #142582
