Purrrr, her name is Macy Grey, and she’s a stunning, 11-year-old, Maine Coon who is extremely affectionate and very gentle. Her owners surrendered her to the SPCA of Texas on July 7 because they just couldn`t afford the cost of pet maintenance. She’s 12 pounds of beauty and love, and she’s just waiting patiently for her new family to come adopt her. Macy Grey is very friendly, quiet and reserved, but she’s also a social kitty who gets along well with adults, children and even dogs too! She’s very laid back, and she’s looking for a nice, quiet home where she can live out her golden years. She loves gentle pets on my pretty head, and she’ll even rub her chin up against you to let you know she’s enjoying all the attention. I hope you come see her soon at the SPCA of Texas! #13523024
This adorable, 2-year-old, Shepherd is Dixie! She has a very unique and pretty black and white fur coat with polka-dotted socks and a gorgeous smile. She’s also a very smart girl who is already crate trained and leash trained. Dixie is used to being an inside dog (especially in this heat) so she longs to be a part of a family, especially since she gets along well with other dogs and she loves kids. Dixie is very well-mannered and loving, and she would thrive in a family who loves to play and cuddle as much as she does. Dixie was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on June 30 with her sister, Diesel, because their previous owners had too many animals. They are both extremely sweet and very easygoing girls who are looking forward to meeting you. If you have room in your heart and home to take two love bugs, they would absolutely love to be adopted together. Dixie and Diesel live together right now in the shelter, and they have been through so much, so please consider adopting two wonderful girls. Dixie is heartworm positive, but her treatments are FREE to her new family at a Metroplex-area VCA Animal Hospital after she’s adopted. This will provide the best total care for heartworm positive dogs like Dixie in treatment, as they`ll have access to emergency care and overnight stays if necessary. #13474830
