SPCA Pets of the Week: Enya and Chicken are Still Waiting for a Home

Meet Chicken! That name fits perfectly! She likes your attention, but a lot of the time you’ll find her hiding behind her cat friends. Her breed is Domestic Shorthair mix and she’s a cute torbie- meaning her colors are tortoiseshell with tabby markings. She is 2-years-old and weighs a shapely 11 pounds. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on April 10 because her owner had too many animals. Now she’s here with some friends and she’s looking for her furr-ever home! Speaking of friends, Enya is her best friend. They spend a lot of time together, snuggling and playing with each other as much as possible. Because she and Enya make such a great pair, they must be adopted together. Chicken has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. When you stay with her for a while, she becomes less shy but she’ll need patience when she first comes home with you. She doesn’t have a favorite toy yet, but perhaps you can pick one out together! Chicken is a quiet, sweet young girl and will be your best friend when you take her home today! #140118

Enya 140114 VIP (1)Meet Enya, a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair mix. Her fur coat is tortoiseshell-colored and soft to the touch! She came to the SPCA of Texas on April 11 because her previous owner had too many animals. She enjoys spending time with the other kitties in her condo, but Chicken is her best buddy. They can often be found snuggling together for afternoon naps and grooming each other. Because they make such a great pair, Enya and Chicken must be adopted together. When she first meets you, she may be a bit shy, but she warms up quickly (especially if you have treats!) Her favorite hobby is playing with the rolling, jingle toys. She really loves when you toss the toy around so she can chase and pounce on it! Once she’s gotten to know you, she is happy to receive gentle petting and scratching from you. She can be quite the love bug! Enya has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. She is a loving young lady and would adore being your BFFF-Best Furry Friend Forever! Visit her today! #140114
