Hi there friends, this is Blue! As you can probably guess by his freckles, he’s an American Blue Heeler mix who is about four years old. He’s feeling a little blue at the moment because his owner, who he was very fond of, surrendered Blue to the SPCA of Texas on June 14. This is actually Blue’s second visit here at the SPCA of Texas, and we hope it’s his last one as well. Blue was first transferred here from another animal shelter back in 2008, and then he was adopted by a nice family, but they recently returned him, so he’s here again, hoping that his new, loyal family will come adopt him soon. Blue is a very well-behaved and friendly boy who is calm and quiet. He’s also a little adventurous, and he likes to wander off by himself sometimes, so it is extremely important that he has supervised playtime outside with his family. He’s a very smart boy and a quick learner, so we know with some positive encouragement, Blue will learn lots of new tricks in no time. He is great with kids, so he will be a wonderful companion for a special family. Come see him soon! #6168101
Hello, this is Emma! She’s a Domestic Shorthair cat with a brown and black fur coat. She’s three years old and weighs seven pounds so she’s a petite girl. Her owner surrendered her to the SPCA of Texas on April 9 because her owner was moving, and they couldn`t take Emma along. She was raised as an inside kitty so she’s used to being with a family, so she’s a little lonely here in this big place. Emma is a little shy at first, and she likes to curl up in her favorite cubby holes and play hide and seek. When you find her, she’ll wait for you to slowly come give her head and chin scratches… those are her favorites! She has bright green eyes, and her coat is velvety soft. She is good with other cats but can also be happy in a home as the only kitty. Come take the time to get to know Emma today! She’s a sweetie! Emma is also a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet) because she’s been waiting for her new, loving family for more than 30 days, and she has a special adoption price of $50! #12852239
