SPCA Pets of the Week: Meet Sissy and Cheetoes

Meet Sissy, a 2-year-old, 54 pound red Pit Bull mix. As you can see from her picture, she’s a looker! Have you seen her gorgeous amber eyes? You won’t be able to resist looking into them! And not only is she a beautiful girl, but she’s super sweet, too. She’s the whole package, don’t you think? Sissy came to the SPCA of Texas on September 3 because her previous owner didn’t have time for her. While she misses being in her home, I know she’ll find a new family soon, especially since she has so much to offer! Her previous owner noted that she is friendly, lovable, huggable and playful – she adores getting attention from people! What more could you want? She’s also a pretty smart cookie. Sissy already knows how to sit, stay and come. With your guidance, you can teach her many more, especially if you have treats (she loves treats!). One of her favorite things to do is give people hugs. That’s right, she likes to hug! Sissy enjoys going for walks, and while at the shelter, she’s been working on her loose leash skills. She’s also a big fan of car rides, so if you need a traveling companion, she’s your girl. She’s known to get along with other dogs, but if you have any currently, you can bring them by for a meet and greet. She also gets along with both kids and adults. She’d love to meet your entire family! Sissy has been spayed, microchipped and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. Won’t you come visit her? She’s looking forward to meeting you – you will be best friends! #142972

Meet Cheetoes, a friendly, lovable, 8-year-old Domestic Shorthair mix weighing a shapely 15 pounds. She’s a moderately energetic red tabby cat with a distinctive face. Her little button nose is pink with a little red above her mouth. On September 13, her owner surrendered her to the SPCA of Texas due to a move to a smaller home. She’d really like to find her new home soon and be with her new family! Could that be you? Cheetoes has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. She’s very, very friendly, has a loud purr and loves to lean into you for petting. She’s going to be the purrfect cat for you and she’s cute to boot! Come visit Cheetoes and take her home today! #16844
