McKinney Boyd continued its incredible hot streak on Tuesday night. The Lady Broncos rolled over North Garland 13-1 at home. Boyd is now 7-0 in District 10-5A and stay one game ahead of second place Rowlett. The second meeting between Rowlett and the Lady Broncos is next Tuesday night in Rowlett. Boyd won the first meeting 4-2 on March 14th.
McKinney High stayed hot and won its third straight ballgame, this time shutting out Highland Park 7-0 on the road. Chelsea Thomas earned the win for the Lionettes, while Jazsmine Nelson tripled in the game. MHS improved to 4-2 in District 10-4A, half a game behind crosstown rival McKinney North for third place.
In a matchup of two of the best teams in District 10-4A, the bats certainly showed up as McKinney North outlasted Wylie 11-8. Despite the 11 hits for the Lady Bulldogs, they benefitted the most from the seven errors committed by the Lady Pirates. Celeste Verdolivo earned the win for North. Offensively, Taylor McAllister hit a home run, while Kayla Carpentier and Alli Lindsey each doubled for the Lady Bulldogs. After the impressive road win, North improved to 5-2 in district, one game behind Wylie and Rockwall for first place.
