McKinney Boyd shut out Sachse 7-0 on the road on Friday night, improving its District 10-5A record to 12-0. Erin Riding earned the win on the hill for the Lady Broncos. Boyd’s offense set the tone in the ballgame with at least one double from Jill Nicklas, Bailey Jo Jones, Carly Nicklas, and Cassandra Heller. Sam Stockford doubled twice for the Lady Broncos, while Nicklas also tripled in the ballgame. Boyd will play its homecoming game Tuesday night versus Garland. Game time is 5 p.m.
McKinney High shut out Richardson Pearce 13-0 on the road on Friday night, improving their District 10-4A record to 8-4 on the season and maintaining their hold on fourth place in the district. Chelsea Thomas recorded the win for MHS, while E. Marrs and Charity Whitson doubled for the Lionettes. Jazsmine Nelson also homered for MHS in the game. The Lionettes finished off the week without allowing a single run after knocking off McKinney North 5-0 on Tuesday night. MHS will play its homecoming game Tuesday night when Wylie East comes to town. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
McKinney North defeated Highland Park at home 15-0, improving its record to 9-3 in District 10-4A and holding steady at the third spot in the standings. Kayla Carpentier doubled for North, while Verdolivo, Alli Lindsey, Bailey Florence, and Raven Gutierrez all tripled in the ballgame. The Lady Bulldogs travel to 11-1 Rockwall on Tuesday night for a much-anticipated matchup between two of the top teams in the district. Rockwall won the first matchup 3-1 at North. Game time is 7 p.m.
