Soccer Scoreboard: MHS, North Sweep District Opponents; Boyd Boys Top Plano West

As all six MISD soccer programs head into the second half of district play, here are the scores form Friday night’s action on the pitch:

McKinney North Girls:

The Lady Bulldogs (5-0-0, 13-1-3) defeated Denison 9-0 on Friday night in District 17-4A action.

Belicia Mendiola scored three goals in the match for North while Sabrina Martineau had two goals. Micaela Mendiola, Hadlie Tucker, Sadie Decker, and Alon Encalade all had one goal in the match.

North will travel to Sherman next Friday, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

McKinney North Boys:

The Bulldogs (4-1-0, 7-8-0) topped Denison 4-1 on the road in 17-4A play on Friday night.

Justin Adler scored three goals for North while Morgan Dizney added a goal. Orlando Mercado had the lone goal for Denison.

North will host Sherman next Friday night, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

McKinney Boyd Boys:

The Broncos (6-0-0, 14-5-1) defeated Plano West 3-1 in District 10-5A play at Clark Stadium on Friday night.

Ben Gupton, Pablo Jaimes, and Sewell Yost all scored one goal in the match for Boyd.

Boyd will host Plano (1-3-2) on Tuesday night, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

McKinney Boyd Girls:

The Lady Broncos (3-2-1, 11-3-4) lost 3-1 at home versus Plano West, falling to the Lady Wolves for the second time in 10-5A play.

Boyd will travel to Plano (0-4-2) on Tuesday night, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The match is at Plano’s Clark Stadium.

McKinney High Boys:

The Lions (2-1-3, 11-3-4) earned their first program win over Plano on Friday night, topping the Wildcats 2-1 at home in 10-5A play.

David Soto scored in the 11th minute for the Lions while Sean Townsend scored in the 44th minute to give the Lions their two goals in the match. Goalkeeper Rylan Whan had 14 saves for McKinney.

McKinney will travel to Kimbrough Stadium on Tuesday night to face Plano East (1-3-2), beginning at 7:15 p.m.

McKinney High Girls:

The Lionettes (3-3-0, 11-4-0) topped Plano 2-0 on the road in district play on Friday night.

Catherine Millar and Natalie Throneberry had a goal in the match for McKinney.

McKinney will host Plano East (1-4-1) on Tuesday night, beginning at 7:15 p.m.
