Soccer Scoreboard: Let’s Hear It For the Girls (from North, MHS and Boyd)

McKinney ISD girls programs went undefeated in Tuesday night action, with North topping Denton, MHS topping Garland and Boyd playing Flower Mound Marcus even. For those scores and details, plus all the boys action, see below:


McKinney North 2, Denton 0: The Lady Bulldogs won at home Tuesday as Belicia Mendiola and Sabrina Martineau scored goals. Olivia Ditmer provided an assist. The Lady Bulldogs will play in the Duncanville Girls Kickoff Classic this Thursday through Saturday.

McKinney High 5, Garland 1: The Lionettes won at home Tuesday behind Joanna Wells’ three goals scored. Catherine Millar and Julia Orozco also scored. MHS plays next at home against Frisco Centennial on Friday night.

McKinney Boyd 1, Flower Mound Marcus 1: Taylor Cobb scored the Lady Broncos’ lone goal Tuesday. Next up for Boyd is the Georgetown Tournament Thursday through Saturday. The Lady Broncs open play Thursday against Katy Seven Lakes.


McKinney North 2, Seagoville 1: Bulldogs goals were scored by Kyle Biggio and Sean Martineau in Tuesday’s road victory. North next opens play in Mesquite’s Tournament Thursday through Saturday against Bryan Adams.

McKinney High: The Lions were off Tuesday but will play in the Little Elm Lobos Tournament Thursday through Saturday, opening against Dallas Hillcrest on Thursday.

Flower Mound Marcus 2, McKinney Boyd 1: The Broncos lost Tuesday, its lone goal coming on a penalty kick by Connor Kennedy at the 73-minute mark. Boyd next plays at Coppell on Friday night.
