McKinney North had a memorable Monday night against their rivals, highlighting a full Monday of soccer action.
Lady Dawgs Beat Lionettes: The McKinney North girls soccer team shut out their Crosstown Rivals on Monday night, beating McKinney High 1-0 and gaining revenge over an earlier loss this season.
As a result, both North and MHS Have one loss in District 17-4A placing them at the top of the district standings ahead of three-loss, third-place Propser.
Jackie Bucy of North scored the only goal of the match, which was played at North.
Back on Feb. 10 at MHS, the Lionettes beat North 1-0 behind Tori Hurlburt’s lone goal.
Next up, North plays host to Anna on Friday night at 5:30; MHS plays host to Sherman on Friday at 7:15.
Lady Broncos Roll: McKinney Boyd’s girls team beat Garland Naaman Forest 5-1 on Monday night, thanks to goals from five different scorers. Anna Davies, Hannah Fifer, Jacqueline Hansen, Hailey Jordon and Ursula Trevino all scored for Boyd. The Lady Broncos travel to North Garland on Friday for a 4 p.m. match at Williams Stadium.
Boyd Ties Naaman Forest: McKinney Boyd’s boys team tied Garland Naaman Forest 2-2 on Monday. Ben Gupton and Grayson McMurry scored the Broncos’ goals. Boyd next plays North Garland at 6 p.m. Friday at Williams Stadium.
