Soccer Scoreboard: Boyd Boys Tie Allen; North Teams Sweep Sherman

With just three matches remaining in the district season for all three MISD high schools, the playoff push for all six soccer programs is in full force as the calendar flipped to March. Below are recaps and scores from Friday night’s action, including updated standings from District 10-5A and 17-4A:

McKinney Boyd Boys:

The Broncos (7-0-1) tied Allen 1-1 on Friday night in 10-5A action at Allen High School.

Kevin Ptacek scored the goal in the match for the Allen Eagles.

Boyd will host Plano East on March 19, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

McKinney Boyd Girls:

The Lady Broncos (4-2-2) defeated Allen 2-1 at home on Friday night in District 10-5A play.

The Boyd victory keeps the Lady Broncos in second place in District 10-5A with two matches remaining.

Boyd will travel to Plano East on March 19, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

McKinney High Boys:

The Lions (3-1-4) tied Plano West 2-2 at home on Friday night in District 10-5A play.

Arshya Khalilian and Matt West scored goals in the match for McKinney.

McKinney will face Allen (4-1-3) on the road on March 19, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

McKinney High Girls:

The Lionettes (4-4-0) lost 2-0 at Plano West on Friday night in district play.

Tori Gates and Nicole Smith scored goals in the match for the Lady Wolves.

McKinney will host Allen (2-4-2) on March 19, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

District 10-5A Boys:

1. McKinney Boyd  7-0-1  15 Points
2. Allen   4-1-3                   11 Points
3. McKinney   3-1-4           10 Points
4. Plano East   2-4-2            6 Points
5. Plano   1-5-2                   4 Points
6. Plano West   0-6-2          2 Points

District 10-5A Girls:

1. Plano West   8-0-0          16 Points
2. McKinney Boyd  4-2-2  10 Points
3. McKinney   4-4-0            8 Points

4. Allen   2-4-2                    6 Points
5. Plano   1-4-3                    5 Points
6. Plano East   1-5-1            3 Points

McKinney North Boys:

The Bulldogs (5-1-0) topped Sherman 2-1 on Friday night in District 17-4A action.

Scott Bell and Kaleb Gaylord scored goals in the match for the Bulldogs.

North will travel to Prosper (6-0-0) on March 19, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

McKinney North Girls:

The Lady Bulldogs (6-0-0) defeated Sherman 9-0 on Friday night in district play.

Belicia Mendiola scored three goals in the match while Hadlie Tucker added two goals. Alon Encalade, Sabrina Martineau, Micaela Mendiola, and Sandy Pachicano all scored one goal in the match as well.

North will host Prosper (5-1-0) on March 19, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

District 17-4A Boys:
