More than 100 rare and vintage Shelby Cobras and Mustangs will be on display this Saturday, June 22, at the fourth annual Shelby Car Show, hosted by LegacyTexas Bank at its corporate headquarters in Plano. Much anticipated by car buffs and collectors throughout Texas, the local show will also showcase models from the Shelby family’s private collection and new autos from Shelby American. The show gets underway at 10:00 a.m. at 5000 Legacy Drive and Preston Road and will last until 2:00 pm. Open to the public, the family-friendly community event will feature music by the Vic Duncan Band, fun activities and limited edition collectibles for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to a local charity.
“This is a special event for our family and for our entire community,” said LegacyTexas Bank Executive Vice President Aaron Shelby, grandson of legendary auto design pioneer Carroll Shelby. “This year, LegacyTexas Bank is celebrating 50 years of service. The bank’s opening came within months of the introduction of the first Shelby car, so this is a very special celebration for all of us.”
The show is co-hosted by the Shelby Cobra Association of Texas and sponsored by Dallas Mustang.
